META-BRAIN project debuts at European Researcher’s Night in Milan

The project poster for META-BRAIN was presented for the first time by partner Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche (CNR – Italian National Research Council) at the European Researcher’s Night in Milan on September 27th. The event took place at the magnificent Piazza del Duomo and its surrounding streets, creating an unforgettable experience for scientists and thousands of passersby who stopped to learn more.

Dr. Marta Parazzini, Senior Researcher at the Electromagnetic Fields for Health (EMF4H) team and leader of the META-BRAIN project at CNR’s Institute of Electronics, Information Engineering, and Telecommunications, along with researchers Marta Bonato and Giulia Suarato, had the opportunity to present the project’s objectives and goals to a diverse audience of both experts and non-experts.

META-BRAIN, funded by the European Union under the Horizon Europe program, aims to achieve precise spatiotemporal control of brain activity through the utilization of magnetoelectric nanostructures and/or ultrasound, to address the urgent clinical need for treatments that can accurately control and restore neuronal activity.
